About Us

Monticello was officially designated an Indiana Main Street Community on May 13, 2015

OUR MISSION
The Streets of Monticello Association is a volunteer organization dedicated to encourage and support revitalization, collaboration, and future growth through activities that promote, enhance, and drive community and economic development in downtown Monticello.

OUR VISION
The Streets of Monticello Association will strive to positively impact our community by improving landscapes, structures, and vacancies to make downtown thrive. We will continue to partner with the community to create an attractive downtown gathering place for families, neighbors, and visitors.

We LOVE Monticello! S.O.M.A. is composed of people like you who live and/or work in Monticello. The people who benefit from having an established main street program are community members, business and property owners, residents young and old, artists, visitors, civic minded individuals, schools, and those who utilize the downtown.
